The Jenkins Special Project
The Jenkins Special was brought into the shop by the current owner, Jim, in a box in pieces. This had been his father's horn and seen a lot of use. Some pieces were missing and needed to be fabricated. This site shows the process from arrival to finished product with it's new owner. The first photo is of Jim's father playing the horn during the dust bowl era in Kansas, just to note the building in the back right is the house the family lived in at the time and the building to the left was the barn.
(above) Bows after removal from horn but before dent work.
